Curriculum vitae

Professor Blickle is head of the department of Work, Organizational, and Economic Psychology. He studied at the Universities of Tübingen, Heidelberg, and Mannheim Psychology, Business Administration, and Law. He received his Masters from the University of Heidelberg in 1987. Then he worked in research projects, practised in Human Ressource Management, and worked for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a leading national news paper in Germany. In 1993, he received his PhD with distinction from the University of Heidelberg. He was honoured with the Max-Weber-Award in Business Ethics by the German Business Federation, Köln. In 1997, he received his habilitation in Psychology. His research projects were sponsored by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and the Fritz-Thyssen-Stiftung. He was offered several full-professorships. From 2001 to 2003 he worked as a full professor at the Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz. In October 2003, he joined the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. Since 1993, he is a member of the German Business Ethics Network. Since 2003 he has been serving as coeditior of the Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (Zeitschrift für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie), from 2007-2010 he had served as coeditor of the German Psychologist (Psychologische Rundschau). He served as an elected member to the Psychology Board of the German Research Foundation from 2012 to 2016; in 2012 he was coopted as member of the editoral board of the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
